Meet the Coaches and Staff of Integral CrossFit
We pride ourselves in selecting Coaches who are knowledgeable in the CrossFit methodology as well as in life. Maturity and empathy for the people who come to train with us is paramount to us.
The founder and co-owner of Integral CrossFit, Jim is also an Advanced Certified Rolfer. Jim discovered CrossFit though his son, Nick, in February 2009. When Nick went to college Jim joined a local CrossFit gym and began training hard. The results were profound: a weight loss of 80 pounds in less than a year, blood work that is off the charts positive, and an increase in strength, agility, and cardio-respiratory endurance. After realizing that the benefits of his work as a Rolfer would be amplified in his clients who were also doing CrossFit, he decided to become a certified trainer and to bring this amazing fitness modality to his clients.Jim Competes in the CrossFit Masters Division (60+) and is currently ranked 74 in the world. His passion for coaching Masters CrossFit athletes along with his body therapy background make Integral CrossFit the perfect place for the new and experienced Masters athletes to train. Continuing education is what separates a professional from the amateur. Like CrossFit’s philosophy of constant variation, seeking education from multiple sources on multiple subjects increases the depth of the professional.

Susan Skjei Phd.
Not only is Susan the Co-owner and co-founder of Integral CrossFit she’s also the Director of the Naropa University Center for Authentic Leadership. Susan has been doing CrossFit for six years and is an inspiration to the other women who train at Integral.
Bill has been doing CrossFit at Integral CrossFit since 2011. He was asked by the Head Coach and the Owner to join the staff after they recognized his easy going manner was really helpful to others. Bill came to Colorado from South Dakota and has the mid-west gentle way about him, as well as an incredible work effort when coaching and training. He’s a talented musician and artist as well as our go to guy for local Craft Brew information.

I moved from Longmont to Niwot in 2015 with my husband Jed and our 3 dogs. I am a Neurologist, part of University of Colorado Health, and currently practicing in Loveland. I previously Coached to a Crossfit gym in Lyons, where I have been since I started Crossfit nearly 4 years ago. I received my Level 1 certification in Feb of 2015 and started coaching after this as a way to help out our little gym in Lyons. When they decided to close I came to Integral CrossFit. I love the unique support system that is part of Crossfit. What keeps me coming back is the diversity of movements and work outs that it offers. It is exciting to find a new gym community to join in Niwot and look forward to new Crossfit adventures.

I fell in love with Crossfit in 2013. I have a background in rehabilitation and I appreciate the emphasis on functional movement. I also have a great “WOD Squad” – the kind of friends that are made when you are pushing each other to get better and suffering together. In 2015 I took and passed my Crossfit Coach Level-1 training and Crossfit Kids coaching certification. I am particularly grateful to coach Crossfit Kids classes. In an age where we are immersed in non-nutritional food-like substances and gobs of screen time, it feels good to be on the other side of the equation helping instill a lifelong enjoyment of movement.
